The times they are a-changin' fast.

Technology is pretty cool alright. Yep, pretty cool alright indeed. With all this technology whizzing through our every waking moment, you think we would all just stop for a moment, content with all we've done, and say " fair play lads" or some similar gesture of dues.
But no, the way the human race works, is entirely different. We're like some form of mass organized perpetual accelerator, fueled by impatience and bettering one and other. What was once fast, is now slow, in this world of never ending advancements, and it will leave you behind like a bear at a kids party. It seems as soon as a new technology is deemed new, within, what seems like, a brief moment, it is replaced by a superior technology, rendering the latter obsolete in a way. To put it into perspective, back in the 80's a micro computer was release with 16Kb of RAM, that was a lot. Now you've got computers with 32Gb of RAM. Which is 20000 times better than that of its predecessor, that's as if it almost doubled its capabilities everyday from 1980 to 2011. Im mean there's already flying cars, video games that you control with your mind, autonomous computers built into you're house and a god damned space hotel.
The speed of this advancement is, to me? fucking nuts. Compared to the how long it took for this earth to gain an intelligent conscious. We have been civilised for the most minuscule fraction of the universe's existence, and already we have redesigned the whole face of the earth into this, luxury apartment. Its like the big bold human race has donned a blindfold and began racing towards a cliff edge, who knows what’s going happen, or where we're going to end up, all we do know is, we can't see and we're going pretty fast.
I'm not saying its wrong to be impatience, cause impatience is a virtue these days, its given us faster cars, the drive-through and the electronic mail system (to name a few). All I'm saying is that we should appreciate the times we live in, forget about the recessions, the pollutions and politicians. Stop for a moment and ponder with me here, imagine 500 years from now, endless possibilities. 500 years ago, America wasn't even colonized and people would probably lynch you, just cause they like that sort of thing, thats how far we've come in such small time. So just think of the evolution to date, and try to comprehend the outcomes of this one man race we've gotten ourselves into.
Its just a thought.
