Arts In Action
As I wander through life, death and whatever is in-between, I come across monthly farmers markets and small festivals. I started in Dublin City Centre and walked in one direction for about an hour until I got to Farmleigh. The president was unavailable that day so I, Doctor Love, decided to absorb the the local traditions of eating and listening. This is what I read on a leaflet.
Inspired by the simple idea of demonstrating the skills of artists and craftsmen and showcasing their talent, Art in Action is a 3 day showcase taking place in Farmleigh, Phoenix Park, Dublin 2012. With over 60 artists taking part encompassing ceramics, sculpture, the fine arts and crafts, the event includes a range of classes for adults and children in their chosen art and a series of talks on liberal arts and select musical performances. A full schedule of classes, talks and entertainment can be found at www.artinaction.ie and on Facebook (@Art in Action Farmleigh)
I really enjoyed my day and wished I had not come alone. I felt that this area has a lot to offer to bored days and I will surely go back and reunite with some of the dishes served.
I,Doctor Love, took a day off. Why don't you?
